Sail Canada Basic Coastal Navigation
$495 (+ Sail Canada Student Fee)
This course includes the fundamentals of navigation, how to read a chart, and how to plot a course. It includes a Chart I/C 9997, Chart #1 which contains Aids to Navigation, navigation instruments and their use plus how to plot a course.
A prerequisite for the Intermediate Cruising Standard.

Sail Canada Intermediate Coastal Navigation
$395 (+ Sail Canada Student Fee)
This course builds on your knowledge gained in Basic Coastal Navigation and teaches the Running Fix and how to cope with Set & Drift. It also builds on your knowledge of Tides and Currents and takes into account how to calculate the scope required in a tidal anchorage.
A prerequisite for the Advanced Cruising Standard.

Sail Canada Celestial Navigation
$795 (+ Sail Canada Student Fee)
Find your position anywhere on the planet using the sun and the stars. From basic concepts to Sun-Run-Sun and more, plus how to use a Sextant and the Sight Reduction Tables using HO 249.
Full Standard (Basic and Intermediate Coastal) Navigation required.
